You Can Officially Throw Out Your TV – Now Instagram Has Gone Longform

If, like me, you start and end your day in the bathroom watching videos on social media, you'll be happy to hear about Instagram's latest launch.

Unlike the introduction of Highlights and Archive, this one isn't an update – it's much bigger. There's a brand new app people and it's called IGTV. Playing videos up to one hour long, say goodbye to your social life if you find yourself sucked into a hole even just having one-minute clips to watch.

It works by starting clips immediately when you open the app, based off people you already follow, and all videos are viewable vertically. The likes of Huda Kattan – who recently launched a Facebook Watch reality series about Huda Beauty – as well as Beyonce, Chris Hemsworth, David Beckham, Kris Fade and Shereen Mitwalli have already signed up, so you can get a more meaningful experience from who you follow.

It comes as the platform has announced they've reached a billion users. The Instagram obsession is about to get real.
